Job summary

Colonial Group in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Quotations Specialist to join our sales support team. You will prepare accurate quotations and submittal packages from customer specifications, negotiate pricing with manufacturers and customers, and help maximize profitability.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of quotes and customer service experience, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication. You will coordinate with vendors, follow up on quotations, and assist with project management

Qualifications

• 1+ years of quotes and customer service experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of products sold by the Profit Center.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Organized, proactive and detail oriented.
• Ability to analyze quotations data and adjust processes.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer requirements and negotiate pricing with manufacturers and customers.
• Create accurate quotations and submittal packages from customer specifications/drawings using the applicable software systems.
• Follow up on outstanding quotations to secure orders, improve quotation process, and measure effectiveness.
• Follow up with customers to ensure orders are filled promptly; assist with project management and coordinate deliverables.
• Support the Profit Center Sales Team serving as a peer expert concerning the specifics of quotes, proposals, bid strategies, and product application.
• Investigate and resolve customer problems; address pricing deductions and material returns timely and in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
• Communicate to the Profit Center Manager and Credit Manager any changes in a customer’s business that might cause a credit risk.
• Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
• Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

• Comprehensive knowledge of products sold by the Profit Center

• Possess outstanding verbal and written communication, and generous listening skills.

• Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Be able to collect and analyze quotations data to determine patterns of success or failure; take appropriate action to adjust processes to ensure success.
• Be able to learn and operate the computer related systems used to create and submit quotation packages and create orders.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
