Job summary

Shively Bros. Inc. is seeking a Quote Specialist to provide accurate quotes using sales and technical knowledge. You will prepare itemized cost estimates and work with sales, contractors, engineers, and purchasing to select the best products for projects.

You will also interact with manufacturers' reps for pricing, manage the quote process, and ensure documentation is complete. Expect a role focused on customer service, accuracy, and teamwork on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in customer service or order processing preferred.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Quote Specialist provides quotes to customers by utilizing sales and technical knowledge for the preparation of quote packages.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare itemized cost estimates of products or bid requests
• Interact with the sales team, contractors, engineers, and purchasing to determine the best products to be used on the assigned projects
• Interact with manufacture representatives to obtain the best possible cost information
• Work in collaboration with, and provide support and guidance to co-workers with the mutual goal of meeting or exceeding goals and objectives
• Manage the quote process to ensure that all supporting documentation is received and submitted within the specified guidelines
• Build rapport with customers and work to ensure they receive excellent service
• Use computer databases to retrieve necessary customer and inventory information
• Provide pricing, delivery, and other order information to customers
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
• Report and document Non-Conformances, Corrective Actions, and Continuous Improvements
• Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards for the site
• Make decisions within the limits of general standards or procedures
• Report near misses and incidents and cooperate with investigations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of experience in customer service or order processing preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
