Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Customer Quote Liaison to support the sales team by processing incoming quote requests and ensuring complete information for accurate, timely quotes. You will be the primary contact for customer inquiries, helping to create a positive experience.

A flexible hybrid schedule is available. You will collaborate with sales, estimators, production, and other internal teams to gather pricing, lead times, and other quote details.

Qualifications

• > Two years of experience in customer service.
• > Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and/or quoting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming quote requests promptly and accurately, ensuring all information is obtained.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve missing/incorrect information.
• Gather pricing, lead times, and other details with sales, estimators, production, and other departments for quotes.
• Support new product launch activities including part number creation and tooling POs and PPAP entries.
• Maintain accurate records of all quote requests and communications in the quoting system.
• Conduct mass price updates and maintain customer scorecards.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve customer issues and ensure prompt resolution.

Job description

Supports the sales team by processing incoming requests. Ensures requests include all needed information to generate accurate and timely quotes. Serves as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and creates a positive customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

1. Processes incoming quote requests promptly and accurately, ensuring all necessary information is obtained and accurate.
2. Works with customers and/or internal teams to resolve issues with missing and/or incorrect information.
3. Collaborates with sales, estimators, production, and other internal teams to gather pricing, lead times, and other relevant details needed to prepare accurate quotes.
4. Supports new product launch activities including part number creation, entering and invoicing tooling purchase orders, and entering PPAP and special purchase orders.
5. Maintains accurate records of all quote requests, updates, and communications in the company's quoting system.
6. Conducts mass price updates and maintains customer scorecards.
7. Coordinates with internal departments to resolve customer issues and ensures prompt resolution of customer issues.

• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and quoting software, as well as standard office productivity tools.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Ability to navigate multiple Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) systems.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in business, sales, or similar preferred.

Experience Requirements
