Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Coordinator in the Quotations Department to prepare cost estimates, compile BOMs, and obtain best-cost information. You will conduct extensive research across product lines and collaborate with factories to generate profitable quotations under tight deadlines.

The role requires 1+ year experience (2+ years preferred), strong negotiation and pricing skills, and knowledge of SAP. Some travel and cross-branch support are possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience required.
• 2+ years of experience preferred: Sales, negotiations, pricing, and building relationships.
• Knowledge of SAP programs used to support the Quotations process.
• Knowledge of logistics strategies.
• Mathematical, organizational, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates of materials for internal and external customers; compile bills of material and itemize tools, fixtures, or equipment.
• Consult with factories and representatives to obtain best-cost information and audit manufacturers’ bills of materials.
• Conduct extensive research prior to submitting quotations to identify requirements and performance standards.
• Complete and submit accurate technical quotations against tight deadlines based on customer specifications.
• Support change order processes and job lot billing in some branches.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through training and networking with customers and suppliers.
• Issue lists of quotes to be used by sales, and support promotions and initiatives.
