Job summary

James Ridout CPA is seeking an experienced Intermediate Bookkeeper to join our accounting practice. You will work closely with the lead bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial recordkeeping, perform client bookkeeping cleanups, assist with payroll and sales tax compliance, and support client onboarding and proposals.

Strong QuickBooks experience is required. You will maintain ledgers, prepare financial reports, reconcile accounts, and help deliver accurate monthly and quarterly statements to

Qualifications

• Mandatory QuickBooks experience (QBO and/or Desktop).
• Proven bookkeeping experience including reconciliations and financial statement prep.
• Familiar with payroll processing and sales tax workflows.
• Strong analytical mindset, excellent organization, and strict attention to detail.
• Professional communication skills and ability to manage multiple client accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage client bookkeeping, reconciliations, QuickBooks records, cleanups, and reporting.
• New client clean-up and organization of bookkeeping records.
• Prepare, review, and securely send monthly/quarterly reports to clients and team.
• Assist payroll processing and related reporting.
• Help prepare, review, and process sales tax filings per regulations.
• Support lead bookkeeper and client onboarding; assist with proposal assessments.
