Job summary

Mullinax Automotive seeks an Automotive Technician to join our multi-store team. The ideal candidate is dependable, hard-working, self-motivated, with 6 months to 1-year automotive experience, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay is dependent on experience; great opportunities for advancement. Schedule is Monday through Saturday, with no Sundays. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits package available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of automotive experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Basic vehicle knowledge and tool set required.
• Eligible for drug test and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policy.
• Perform thorough and accurate multi point inspections.
• Complete test drives of vehicles as necessary.
• Provide superior customer satisfaction.
• Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and our records.
• Clean and maintain work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.
• Computerized transactions and record keeping.
• Follow all Company procedures and standards.
• Perform all duties as assigned.

Qualifications For This Job

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Basic vehicle knowledge
• Basic tool set
• 6 months to 1-year automotive experience
• Basic computer, email, and internet proficiency
• Strong time management skills
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
• Lifting of heavy items of up to 75 pounds
• Able to withstand exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record according to dealership guidelines
• Must be able to pass background screening and drug test
