Job summary

Mullinax Ford of Central Florida in Apopka, FL is seeking a dependable, hard-working automotive technician to join our team. The role requires 6 months to 1 year of automotive experience, basic vehicle knowledge, and the ability to perform inspections, repairs, and test drives as needed.

Schedule is Monday through Saturday with no Sundays; pay level is based on experience. Benefits available and opportunities for advancement within our multi-store enterprise.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 6 months to 1 year automotive experience required.
• Must have basic computer, email and internet proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders in accordance with dealership policy.
• Perform thorough and accurate multi-point inspections.
• Complete test drives of vehicles as necessary.
• Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for customer and records.
• Keep work environment clean and safe to ensure equipment longevity.

Schedule

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policy
• Perform thorough and accurate multi point inspections
• Complete test drives of vehicles as necessary
• Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and our records
• Clean and maintain work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
• Computerized transactions and record keeping
• Follow all Company procedures and standards
• Perform all duties as assigned

Qualifications for this job:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Basic vehicle knowledge
• Basic tool set
• 6 months to 1-year minimum automotive experience
• Basic computer, email, and internet proficiency
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
• Lifting of heavy items of up to 75 pounds
• Able to withstand exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record according to dealership guidelines
• Must be able to pass background screening and drug test
