Job summary

Martin-Marietta-1798b2fd is seeking a Plant Operator to support production facilities with semi-skilled duties, including lubricating machinery, monitoring conveyors, shakers, crushers, feeders and pumps, and performing daily inspections. Training is provided and safety is emphasized.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year in aggregate/mining plant operations, plus experience with hand tools and heavy equipment operation; able to work long shifts and follow

1+ year of aggregate/mining plant operations.
Experience with hand tools.
Experience operating heavy mining/construction equipment.

Responsibilities

Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment.
Operate equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with training and manufacturer’s instruction.
Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations.
Perform pre-shift safety inspection on the systems, equipment and accessories.
Perform preventative maintenance and service equipment.
Inspect equipment and report needed repairs to supervision.
Assist in plant maintenance and repairs.
Responsible for good housekeeping of plant and equipment.
Perform duties with minimum supervision.
Assist with operation of other equipment as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
