Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Laborer to support plant and quarry production, ensuring safe, efficient operation of material handling systems and assisting with cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance tasks on site.

The role requires a hands-on, safety-focused individual who can contribute to production flow, equipment upkeep, and overall site efficiency in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in Industrial, Construction, or Mining Environments preferred.
• MSHA compliance and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of plant areas, conveyors, crushers, screens, and other equipment to prevent buildup and maintain operational efficiency.
• Assist in material handling tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, and washing down areas to ensure safe and clean work environments.
• Utilize skid steers, shovels, and other essential tools to clear excess materials around the plant and ensure smooth operations.
• Support operators and maintenance crews in daily tasks and projects assigned.
• Support maintenance crews during scheduled and emergency repairs.
• Help with lubrication, minor adjustments, and basic mechanical tasks under supervision.
• Execute pre‑ and post‑shift inspections (fluids, wear indicators, belts). Log maintenance checks and report issues promptly.
