Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials is seeking a Plant Operator to support daily production at our facility in Texas. The role involves lubricating machinery, monitoring conveyors and crushers, and performing routine inspections and basic maintenance in a safety-focused environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of aggregate/mining plant operations experience, plus proficiency with hand tools and heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ year of aggregate/mining plant operations experience.
• Experience with a variety of hand tools.
• Experience with operation of heavy mining/construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with training and manufacturer's instruction.
• Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspection on the systems, equipment and accessories.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service equipment.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs to supervision.
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs.
• Responsible for good housekeeping of plant and equipment.
• Perform duties with minimum supervision.
• Assist with operation of other equipment as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
