Job summary

APAC Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Quarry Plant Operator to perform essential labor tasks in support of asphalt and concrete pavement operations. The role involves maintenance, cleaning, painting, and mechanical assistance under foreman supervision.

The position requires flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends, with potential travel. High school diploma or GED and 1–2 years related experience preferred. An emphasis on safety and physical capability is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining aggregate crusher, washer, and surrounding environment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Shoveling; sweeping; steam cleaning; painting; tire work; mechanical assistance; lifting, pushing and pulling various objects.
• Communicating production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Report to work at the designated start time.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Other duties as assigned per supervisor.
