Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Plant Operator for our quarry in Manquin, Virginia. You will operate and monitor plant equipment to sustain efficient production, perform routine maintenance, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

You will coordinate with maintenance and production teams to keep material moving and maintain accurate records. The role emphasizes adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and safe operating

Qualifications

• Operating and monitoring crushing, screening, conveying, and processing equipment to maintain aggregate production.
• Adjusting plant controls to optimize production rates and product quality.
• Inspecting equipment and identifying issues before breakdowns and delays.
• Performing routine maintenance, lubrication, and inspections for reliable plant performance.
• Conducting quality checks and sample materials to verify specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor crushing, screening, conveying, and processing equipment to maintain consistent aggregate production.
• Control and adjust plant operations to optimize production rates, material flow, and product quality.
• Inspect equipment and identify mechanical or operational issues before they result in production delays or breakdowns.
• Routine maintenance, lubrication, and equipment inspections to support reliable plant performance.
• Monitor stockpiles, material flow, and product specifications to ensure aggregate meets quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot plant equipment and make operational adjustments to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Conduct quality checks and sample materials to verify products meet established specifications.
