Job summary

Amrize is hiring an Equipment Operator for our quarry in Manquin, Virginia. The role involves safely operating excavators and haul trucks to move aggregate and other materials on-site, following blueprints, plans and safety guidelines. You will perform inspections, coordinate with supervisors, and maintain logs of work performed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment on construction sites.
• Knowledge of excavation safety procedures and OSHA standards.
• Ability to read blueprints/site plans/grade stakes.
• Experience with equipment inspections and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations and earthmoving tasks.
• Operate a haul truck to transport materials at the quarry.
• Load and unload materials using excavator bucket.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance checks.
• Coordinate excavation activities with site supervisors and crew.
• Follow site plans and safety guidelines to complete work as specified.
• Keep logs of hours operated and maintenance activities.
