Job summary

Amrize operates a quarry in Manquin, Virginia and is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely move aggregate and other materials using excavators and haul trucks. The role requires adherence to safety guidelines, blueprint reading, and team collaboration to support excavation activities.

You'll inspect and maintain equipment, coordinate with site supervisors, and sustain logs of hours and maintenance while upholding OSHA standards and environmental policies in outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment on construction sites.
• Strong OSHA safety knowledge and procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret site plans.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a haul truck and excavators to move materials.
• Load and unload materials using excavator bucket.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Coordinate with site supervisors to schedule excavation activities.
• Follow safety guidelines and report hazards or malfunctions.
• Keep accurate logs of hours operated and work performed.
