Job summary

Smyrna Ready Mix (SRM Concrete) is seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to oversee quarry operations, drive safety, and improve efficiency across production, maintenance, quality and logistics.

The role demands 5–7 years in quarry/mining management, strong leadership and cost-control skills, and the ability to lead a diverse team while ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards. Flexible schedule for weekends/evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years in quarry or mining management with a track record of operational success.
• Solid understanding of quarry/mining operations including excavation, drilling, blasting, and material processing.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with proven team guidance.
• Extensive knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards in mining or quarrying.
• Experience with cost control and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage all quarry operations with emphasis on safety, production goals, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Strategize objectives and plans aligned with company mission, promoting safety, performance and quality.
• Direct plant operations across production, maintenance, quality, and logistics to meet objectives cost-effectively.
• Develop proactive maintenance and equipment rejuvenation programs to minimize downtime.
• Enforce cost controls and operate within budget while maintaining high standards.
• Nurture and develop supervisors, technicians and operators through training and assessments.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety standards and environmental regulations; foster a safe workplace.
• Serve as primary contact for suppliers, regulators, and the local community.
