Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) seeks an experienced Plant Manager to oversee quarry operations in Tennessee. You will lead safety programs, drive production, quality, and environmental compliance, and manage a diverse team of supervisors, technicians, and operators to deliver reliable results.

This role requires 5–7 years in quarry/mining management, strong leadership, cost control, and hands-on knowledge of drilling, blasting, and material processing; familiarity with industry software; and

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of quarry or mining management experience.
• Knowledge of quarry and mining operations including excavation, drilling, blasting, and material processing.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards in mining/quarry.
• Experience with cost control and process improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and industry-related software systems.
• Willingness to work weekends/evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage all quarry operations with safety, production goals, quality standards, and environmental compliance.
• Strategize and implement objectives aligned with mission and vision, promoting safety and performance.
• Direct plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics to meet objectives efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Craft and maintain a proactive maintenance and equipment rejuvenation program to minimize downtime.
• Enforce cost control strategies within budget while maintaining high quality.
• Nurture and develop supervisors, technicians, and operators through training and performance reviews.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Serve as primary contact for suppliers, regulators, and the local community.
