Job summary

SRM Materials, a SRM Concrete company, is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to join our Tennessee operations. The role focuses on maintaining plant equipment, electrical and plumbing systems, and welding structural components to ensure continuous production in an industrial setting.

The candidate will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair issues, and collaborate with management and external contractors. A strong safety mindset and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance environments.
• Strong electrical, plumbing, and welding skills; relevant certifications preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and plumbing issues under pressure.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance in plant environments.
• HS diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect plant equipment and systems regularly for wear or malfunctions.
• Perform preventative maintenance per scheduled plan to minimize breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly.
• Fabricate/repair plant structures and equipment using welding skills.
• Prioritize maintenance tasks with plant management based on urgency and impact.
• Keep detailed maintenance records of work, parts, and time.
• Stay updated on maintenance techniques and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with external contractors for complex repairs or installations.
• Assist plant safety team in identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions.
