Job summary

Amrize is hiring a Quarry Technician in Missouri to support mining operations with mobile equipment such as rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozers, haul trucks and more. You will perform mechanical checks, troubleshoot breakdowns and help maintain safety standards on site.

The role requires 1 year of heavy equipment experience in manufacturing, outdoors work, and willingness to rotate shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of heavy equipment operating in a manufacturing environment.
• Must work outdoors, at heights, in dusty environments and confined spaces.
• Willingness to work two shifts, weekends required.
• Must follow safety protocols and use Amrize PPE including respirators.

Responsibilities

• Operation of mobile equipment required to mine rock (e.g., rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozer, haul trucks, water trucks, motor grader, fuel tanker, hydraulic rock breaker).
• Perform mechanical maintenance check-outs, troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and do minor preventative maintenance on mobile equipment.
• Monitor and react to quality issues (e.g., sample drill holes, monitor quality feedback information and adjust mining pattern as necessary).
• Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
