Job summary

Amrize is hiring a Mobile Equipment Operator I (Haul Truck Driver) for our Cave-In-Rock, IL quarry. This is a full-time, hourly role transporting materials throughout the site, operating various heavy machines, and supporting production on a multi-shift basis.

As part of a safety-focused team, you will perform pre-operation inspections, follow procedures, and coordinate with quality and maintenance personnel to ensure efficient, safe operations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment on construction sites.
• Ability to perform rigorous physical tasks in all weather conditions.
• Reliable and safety-conscious with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks and water trucks to transport materials.
• Operate front end loaders, dozers, backhoes, and other quarry equipment.
• Inspect equipment each shift and report issues.
• Address malfunctions or safety hazards with supervisor if needed.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and accurate material counts.
• Communicate safety, maintenance, and production needs.
• Support team and adapt to changing quarry requirements.
