Job summary

Specialty Granules LLC is seeking a Quarry Manager to oversee safe, efficient mining operations and initial crushing to ensure permits compliance and a reliable rock supply for manufacturing.

You will lead direct reports and hourly staff, develop strategies to optimize reserves, coordinate with engineers, geologists and contractors, and manage reports, budgets, and KPIs while fostering a skilled, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related field.
• 5+ years supervisory experience in a mining operation.
• Willingness to travel domestically and work on site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the extraction, processing, and distribution of materials from the mine site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers, geologists, surveyors, and contractors to plan and implement mining projects.
• Develop short- and long-term strategies to optimize reserves and mining operations.
• Gather data to develop targeted training programs to improve operator performance.
• Prepare required reports accurately and maintain records; manage KPIs and budgets.
• Direct and manage staff and equipment resources to achieve targeted goals and uptime.
