Job summary

Specialty Granules LLC is seeking a seasoned operations supervisor to direct the Milling, Intermediate, Primary and Quarry departments with a strong focus on safety, health, productivity and environmental stewardship.

You will lead staff, enforce work rules and MSHA/EPA compliance, and coordinate maintenance through Maximo. The role requires hands-on leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to quality and reliable production performance.

Qualifications

• Responsible for directing operation of Milling, Intermediate, Primary and Quarry departments with emphasis on safety, health, productivity and environmental awareness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees follow SGI work rules, MSHA rules and environmental regulations.
• Conduct and record monthly safety trainings and tool box talks.
• Monitor equipment condition, perform inspections and ensure proper PPE use.
• Direct maintenance planning and issue work orders in Maximo.
• Supervise quarry operations and monitor dewatering equipment.
• Direct adjustments to achieve tonnage targets and maintain quality.
• Record shift tonnage and report production issues.
