Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Quarry Supervisor to lead daily quarry operations, focusing on safe, efficient production and hands-on leadership. You will oversee extraction, processing, and material movement while driving continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes development of quarry employees, adherence to MSHA and safety standards, and collaboration with maintenance and planning teams to meet production goals in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred in Mining Technology, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years frontline leadership experience overseeing daily operations and crews.
• Working knowledge of MSHA requirements, drilling and blasting, and quarry development.
• Experience in a union environment preferred; strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily quarry operations including extraction, loading, hauling, crushing, processing, stockpiling and material movement.
• Supervise and develop quarry employees; coordinate daily assignments and promote accountability across the team.
• Ensure MSHA and environmental safety compliance and foster a strong safety culture.
• Monitor production, equipment performance, material quality and conditions to meet goals.
• Coordinate with maintenance on crusher, conveyor/beltline and mobile equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Support quarry planning, pit development, inventory management and continuous improvement using data.
