West Side Tractor Sales is seeking a Quarry & Aggregate Parts Specialist in Rockford, IL. The role centers on parts sales, customer service, and efficient parts management within the Quarry & Aggregate Division.

You will handle inventory, billing, and order processing, while maintaining product knowledge for manufacturers represented by the dealership. The job requires proactive teamwork and adherence to safety guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in a parts department or related field.
• Friendly and professional communicator who solves problems for customers.
• Data entry and basic computer skills including navigation and internet usage.

Responsibilities

• Parts Sales & Customer Service: Promote and sell products, determine parts needs, and provide customer support.
• Parts Inventory & Billing: Organize, maintain, order, and bill parts for the Quarry & Aggregate Sales Team.
• Order Management: Receive and distribute stock, assist with machine down/stock orders, follow up on shortages.
• Parts Systems & Product Knowledge: Complete required training and maintain knowledge of parts systems for all manufacturers.
• Department Organization: Keep the parts department clean, orderly, and efficient.
• Safety & Training: Participate in the Safety Program and complete trainings.

What You’ll Do:

• Parts Sales & Customer Service: Promote and sell products and services, assist customers in determining their parts requirements, and provide support to meet customer needs.
• Parts Inventory & Billing: Organize, maintain, order, and bill parts at the direction of the Quarry & Aggregate Sales Team.
• Order Management: Receive and distribute daily stock and customer orders, assist with Machine Down and stock orders, and follow up on shortages to expedite outstanding parts.
• Parts Systems & Product Knowledge: Complete required training and maintain knowledge of parts systems for all manufacturers represented by the dealership.
• Department Organization: Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly, and efficient parts department.
• Safety & Training: Participate in West Side’s Safety Program and complete training assigned by management.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 1-3 years in a parts department or related field.
• Customer Service Expertise: A friendly and professional communicator who enjoys solving problems and providing exceptional service to customers.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with data entry and basic computer skills, including navigation and internet usage.
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members to keep operations running smoothly.
• Flexible Schedule: Willing to work some weekends and extended hours as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable bending, lifting, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
• Exposure to chemicals and machinery parts.
