Job summary

IonQ, Inc. in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a DevOps/Hardware-Software engineer to advance quantum device development. You will collaborate with physicists, electronics and firmware teams to push next-generation quantum instruments from code to deployment.

You will set up CI/CD, write Python automation for DUTs, and build Docker images for development and testing, contributing to a fast, reliable hardware software workflow.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science BS/MS required.
• Degree with substantial lab or internship in DevOps or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support code development efforts and automated in-loop hardware testing.
• Work with physicists, electronics and firmware engineers on next-gen quantum instruments.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and test server racks for devices-under-test (DUTs).
• Create and maintain Python automation scripts interfacing with DUTs and test equipment.
• Create and configure Docker images for development, testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and assist with board testing and bring-up.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development process efficiency.
