Job summary

Vector Atomic, an IonQ company, is seeking an experienced test engineer to lead a growing hardware test group in Pleasanton, CA. You will develop procedures, mentor engineers, and work with physicists and engineers to verify complex electronics for next-gen quantum instruments.

You will manage environmental/EMI/EMC testing, analyze test data, and help design automated data systems for production. A lab-based role that requires leadership and strong communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Science engineering (BSEE/MSEE) or equivalent.
• Experience testing precision instruments and sensors in a lab.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• Experience creating test plans and procedures for novel instrumentation.
• Proven data-storage and data-management skills for test data.

Responsibilities

• Lead a growing test team for complex electronics and photonics.
• Develop and verify test procedures for next-gen quantum instruments.
• Define DFT/DFM improvements with engineering and manufacturing.
• Create test plans for environmental, EMI, and EMC testing and manage external testing.
• Use test equipment to characterize performance and analyze data.
• Specify equipment/software to build automated data systems for production.
