Job summary

HRL Laboratories is seeking a creative and motivated device modeling engineer to join a world-class team of scientists and engineers developing next-generation technologies. You will push the frontier of understanding quantum control and transport in semiconductor devices, using TCAD tools and simulations.

Responsibilities include collaborating with fabrication and test efforts, interpreting experimental data, and analyzing both semiclassical and quantum transport to optimize device performance

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related discipline is required.
• Experience with commercial semiconductor TCAD tools and multiphysics software.
• Strong foundation in theory and computational modeling of electronic, optical, thermal, magnetic properties.

Responsibilities

• Model state-of-the-art electronic devices (FinFETs, GAA) using TCAD and simulations.
• Collaborate with fabrication and test teams; interpret experimental data.
• Analyze semiclassical and quantum transport; assess electrostatic integrity under stress.
• Assist in device design for extreme environments (cryogenic, radiation, high temp).
