Job summary

Diraq is seeking a Quantum Device Characterization Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team focused on scalable characterization of silicon-based quantum devices. You will guide experimental design, measurement strategy, and problem-solving while remaining hands-on in the lab.

You will own high-throughput characterization capabilities by integrating cryogenic measurement systems, automation, and data analysis to improve device performance, yield, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent experience in Physics, EE, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in experimental quantum device characterization or nanoscale device measurement.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams in research/engineering.
• Strong cryogenic measurement systems and low-temperature electronics expertise.
• Proficiency in programming for experimental control and data analysis (e.g., Python).
• Ability to translate complex data into engineering insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing device-characterization team.
• Set goals, coach, and manage performance.
• Hire, onboard, and upskill team members.
• Advance quantum device characterization workflows to improve yield and robustness.
• Develop cryogenic measurement infrastructure and automation.
• Oversee data pipelines and metrics at scale.
• Translate insights into actionable recommendations for fabrication and process engineering.
• Provide cross-disciplinary technical leadership.
