Job summary

GlobalFoundries seeks a Device Modeling Engineer with a strong background in semiconductor device physics to develop predictive models from room temperature to cryogenic. This role translates measured behavior into compact models for transistors, superconducting and photonic elements to enable cryoCMOS PDKs, quantum control, and photonic design enablement.

Qualifications

• Strong background in semiconductor device physics and transistor compact modeling.
• Experience with parameter extraction, device characterization, and modeling validation.
• Ability to develop models for superconducting and photonic elements and validate in circuits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and calibrate physics-based compact models for CMOS across temperature ranges.
• Plan and execute parameter-extraction workflows using electrical data.
• Collaborate with PDK/EDA teams for model integration and release readiness.
• Document model assumptions, validation results, and usage guidance.
