Job summary

Quantinuum, headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado, seeks a Senior Director to lead U.S. Government Quantum Hardware Strategy.

This leadership role will coordinate hardware strategy across DOE, NIST, DoD and national labs, translating priorities into a deployable hardware program and driving execution from concept through prototype and adoption. You will align hardware engineering, procurement, security, legal and program management to deliver a multi-year roadmap, establish milestones, and shape

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree minimum.
  • 12+ years of experience in quantum computing, advanced computing, semiconductor systems, electronics, cryogenics, hardware engineering, technical strategy, product leadership, or government program development.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the United States as business needs require.
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
  • Due to national security requirements, candidates must not be a PRC or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a U.S.-focused quantum hardware strategy informed by federal mission priorities and roadmaps.
  • Translate enterprise priorities into a hardware portfolio with clear hypotheses, milestones, and business impact.
  • Prioritize opportunities across DOE, NIST, DoD, and federal organizations to diversify the portfolio.
  • Establish KPIs for hardware performance, reliability, manufacturability, and deployment readiness.
  • Coordinate with leaders to align federal requirements, roadmaps, and investment priorities.
  • Provide portfolio recommendations to senior leadership on strategic directions.
