Job summary

Xanadu seeks a Technical Engagement Manager, U.S. Government, to drive growth and delivery of the U.S. government-funded research portfolio.

You will own the full lifecycle from identifying funding opportunities to ensuring successful execution of active awards, interfacing between Xanadu and government funding communities. You will coordinate across teams, shape strategies, and lead proposal submissions while aligning programs with Xanadu’s technical roadmap and agency priorities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in physics, chemistry, computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in a government-facing technical or program management role.
• Direct experience writing, reviewing, or managing proposals for U.S. government funding programs.
• Track record of identifying, winning, and/or managing government-funded programs or contracts.
• Strong understanding of U.S. government contracting and grants processes, including compliance and reporting obligations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for translating technical content into compelling narratives.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery on a wide range of active U.S. government grants with milestones, reports, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with Hardware, Software, Algorithms, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure proposals are technically rigorous and compliant.
• Lead outreach and grant-writing efforts for new U.S. government funding opportunities, including teaming and proposal submissions.
• Cultivate relationships with U.S. government program managers, prime contractors, and national labs to position Xanadu for opportunities.
• Monitor funding landscape and brief leadership on programs aligned with Xanadu's research roadmap.
• Represent Xanadu at community events and generate new leads and partnerships.
