Job summary

Textron Aviation's TRU Simulation in Lutz, FL invites you to join as a Quality Test Engineer intern this summer. You will support the Quality Engineering team by maintaining the QMS, collecting metrics, and participating in audits while getting hands-on experience with real TRU parts and control systems.

The internship is 10 weeks, 40 hours per week, onsite, with mentorship, training and opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Proficient in computer technology and systems operations.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work efficiently in a team environment.
• Above average mathematical arithmetic skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain QMS including SharePoint, calibration, internal quality audits, and ISO audit responses.
• Assist in performing receiving inspection and non-conformity reporting (NCR).
• Assist in testing, validation, and programming of core TRU parts (control systems, CAN Bus, PCBs).
• Improve product quality by making recommendations for change.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to improve products.
• Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards.
• Brainstorm solutions for identified problems with internal teams and other functions.
• Develop meaningful quality metrics in addition to FPY.
• Help implement a system to ensure conformity and accuracy in production.
