Textron Aviation's TRU Simulation in Lutz, FL invites you to join as a Quality Test Engineer intern this summer. You will support the Quality Engineering team by maintaining the QMS, collecting metrics, and participating in audits while getting hands-on experience with real TRU parts and control systems.
The internship is 10 weeks, 40 hours per week, onsite, with mentorship, training and opportunities to contribute to process improvements.
As an intern with Textron, you'll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. You'll be supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways - working on real projects alongside experienced professionals to prepare for future success.
The Quality Engineering (QE) intern is responsible for the generation of a strategic and daily plan to improve the quality of operational processes and production output. Major responsibilities include maintaining TRU Simulation Training's Quality Management System (QMS), quality metrics, and quality audits. This role is also tasked with identifying improved ways of issue reporting relating to the production process and assigning potential solutions.
Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.
Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
