Job summary

Gorbel® is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure that incoming materials, work in process, and final assemblies meet Gorbel® quality specifications. You will inspect, test, document results, and coordinate with other departments to resolve quality issues.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, applying GD&T, basic welding knowledge, and strong communication skills. Candidates should have at least four years of manufacturing experience and be computer literate in Office and Excel.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least four years of manufacturing experience.
  • Mechanical ability and weld inspection knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills and computer literacy with Excel.
  • Knowledge of inspection tools and GD&T methods.
  • Ability to travel to Gorbel sites (<10%).

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test incoming material, work in progress, and final assemblies following defined procedures.
  • Document inspection results in computer or paper-based records.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with Gorbel® specifications.
  • Maintain testing equipment and calibrate per defined frequency.
  • Participate in problem‑solving and continuous improvement teams.
  • Interface with other departments to resolve quality issues.
