AMETEK Specialty Metals Products (SMP) Wallingford seeks a hands-on Quality Technician to perform quality tests on powdered metal and metal strip. You will set up and calibrate precision lab equipment, document results in LIMS, and ensure safety compliance.

The role involves testing across production stages, entering results into the MRP system, and supporting corrective actions with data-driven insights. A strong math and measurement skillset is essential.

Qualifications

Requires 2+ years in metals testing.
Reading and following written instructions in English.
Ability to perform intermediate math and use measurement tools.

Responsibilities

Perform tests on materials at various production stages for dimensions, mechanical, electrical and chemical properties.
Set up calibrate troubleshoot and maintain precision lab equipment.
Document test results in LIMS and report findings.
Ensure safety protocols and proper hazardous waste disposal.
Enter test results into MRP system and certify materials.
Generate chemistry, thermal expansion and mechanical tests as needed.
