Amsted Automotive Group, SMW Manufacturing in Taylor, Michigan seeks a Quality Technician to inspect and verify product quality. You will perform dimensional checks, ensure calibration of measurement equipment, and confirm parts meet customer and engineering requirements.

Responsibilities include defect tagging, reading blueprints, testing at various production stages, and collaborating with engineering to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and GD&T, with attention to details.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and collaborate with engineering staff.

Responsibilities

• Examine material or product for surface defects and tag defective items.
• Compare product with parts list or sample model to ensure proper assembly.
• Verify specified dimensions of product or material.
• Reject defective parts and mark defect type on parts/containers/inspections.
• Interpret drawings and confer with management to ensure quality standards.
• Select products for tests at production stages and evaluate dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
• Operate diagnostic equipment as needed.
• Take directions and perform other duties as assigned.
