Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Texas is seeking a Quality Tech II to contribute to the Quality Assurance program in our Wilmer facility. You will perform QA audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements, and support the ongoing quality system improvements.

Ideal candidates will have QA/warehouse experience, Manhattan WMS familiarity, and the ability to lift and move products as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Forklift operator certificate or completion within first 30 days of employment.
• Associate degree or equivalent in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Quality audits, inspections and documentation.
• Execute daily quality assurance activities as directed by management.
• Monitor and report QMS implementation, compliance and effectiveness via audits, metrics and feedback.
• Support QA training for new and existing associates.
• Coordinate QA licenses, permits and registrations.
• Collaborate with QA, Ops Performance and Process Improvement teams on quality initiatives.

Position: Quality Tech II
Shift: Monday to Friday, 3pm-11pm
Pay: $21.90 per hour

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience: Experience within warehouse operations specifically with Quality Assurance or adjacent, previous WMS Manhattan experience, ability to lift, move and stack product as needed.

Role Purpose

Execute assigned tasks to support establishment, maintenance, alignment and continual improvement of the QA System. Responsible for day-to-day Quality Assurance activities to ensure compliance with governmental regulations, customer requirements, quality assurance policies and procedures and accommodating requests for support.

Key Accountabilities

• Perform Quality audits, inspections and documentation.
• Perform daily quality assurance activities as required or directed by management.
• Monitor and report level of QMS implementation, compliance and effectiveness through audit activities, observation, review of quality metrics and customer feedback.
• Support QA training for new and existing associates.
• Support coordination of QA license, permit and registration activities.
• Work with Quality Assurance, Ops Performance and Process Improvement teams to progress Quality initiatives.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of forklift training program with the first 30 days of employment
• Associate degree or equivalent in related field of study, preferred
