Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Quality Technician I to perform QC tests on materials (sand/rock) per ASTM and AASHTO standards in a North America–oriented role. This entry-level position offers hands-on lab and field work with opportunities to contribute to material performance data and QA processes.

This role requires the ability to travel, lift up to 50 lbs, and work overtime as needed while upholding Amrize safety protocols and PPE usage. A background in geology, chemistry, or earth sciences is valued.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a materials QC Laboratory Technician is preferred.
• Education in Sciences related to laboratory functions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control tests on materials (sand/rock) per ASTM and AASHTO standards.
• Conduct data and trend analyses, troubleshoot, and report results on aggregate material performance.
• Document material control plans and QA data; maintain test databases and provide summaries.
• Calibrate and maintain lab and field testing equipment as needed.
• Work under minimal supervision and travel to multi-region locations as required.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental policies on the job.
