As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced QUALITY TECHNICIAN for our 1st shift.

Our 1st shift schedule is Monday - Thursday from 6:30am - 5:00pm, with overtime as required.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining quality-assurance processes, testing products, and recording and analyzing results data during product development and manufacturing.
  • Following through on set processes and ensuring adherence to best production practices.
  • Ensuring adherence to product quality standards, as well as monitoring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of product output.
  • Updating internal charts for any CSI activity.
  • Completing shift data collection activity report.
  • Performing internal audits of process.
  • Performing layered process audits.
  • Auditing new/replacement team members to ensure understanding of area of assignment.
  • Photographing and reporting supplier non-conformance.
  • Working with superintendents to drive corrective action and five phase reporting.
  • Reviewing material spills with superintendents.
  • Involved in multi-disciplinary five phase problem solving teams that directly drive the company’s continuous improvement process and policies.
  • Responsible for on-the-job training.
  • Using calibrated lab equipment and other tools to verify product characteristics and attributes.
  • Conducting quality audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Conducting error proofing checks. Immediately notifying supervisor of any failures.
  • Other duties as required.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience within a quality support role.
  • Experience within the Automotive, Industrial, Manufacturing, and/or Supply Chain/Logistics Industries is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a quality technician or related role preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate quality-related issues.
  • Ability to take initiative, identifying potential problems and solutions.
  • Must have experience using a warehouse management system.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must have a high level of motivation.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability and strong strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a flexing, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
