Description

Job Description

The NOC Technician will provide on-shift surveillance, management, advanced troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to the company's Wireless Radio Access Network (RAN) and Core Transport Network to ensure high network availability, rapid service restoration, and minimal field technician calls.

Essential Duties

• Monitor network and network elements; investigate and diagnose network events and alarms.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance; respond to outages and coordinate with technical teams to restore service.
• Provide technical training and oversight to junior technicians.
• Interact professionally with customers, internal staff, and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
• Prepare and submit network status reports and notifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support network operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of DOS/Windows/UNIX/OpenView and related applications.
• Ability to train and guide less experienced staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills; capable of managing stress diplomatically.
• High self-initiative; capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of telecommunications and adherence to documented procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant experience in telecommunications.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record if applicable.

Pay and Benefits

Hourly rate: $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, EAP, and PTO, subject to eligibility and plan specifics.
