The TSUBAKI name is synonymous with excellence in quality, dependability, and customer service. U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is an international tier-one supplier of high-speed chain drive systems to the automotive industry.

The Quality Technician, who works under the direction of the Quality Supervisor, is responsible for the day-to-day testing and inspecting of incoming materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform product identification and traceability activities, as required
  • Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs; log the assembly non-conformities and generate a report (NCR)
  • Perform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements
  • Investigate and report production line failures
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
  • Select materials for tests based on qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics
  • Assist with the PPAP process
  • Set up and perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Five years related experience
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Familiarity with measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, force testers, CMM, and RF Scanners
  • Ability to read blueprints and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Knowledge of the metric system
Work Environment:
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment
