Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector in Santa Barbara, CA to inspect space and defense components. You will read drawings, use calipers and micrometers, and ensure ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality inspection role within manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency with mechanical inspection devices and tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS 9100 quality standards.
• Experience with in-process inspection.

Responsibilities

• In process inspection and evaluation of engineered space flight products.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints to understand product specifications.
• Using mechanical inspection devices for product evaluation.
• Conducting dimensional inspection using tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Implementing and maintaining quality control systems in accordance with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards.
• Documenting inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality database.
• Ensuring that all inspection and testing equipment are calibrated and functioning properly.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to rectify any quality issues and improve product quality.
• Conducting training sessions on quality control activities.
