Jobot in South Bend, IN is seeking an experienced Quality Tech to join a top-tier manufacturing team focused on metal forming and precision components. You will perform in-process, first article, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, CMM and gauges, and help ensure products meet tight tolerances and regulatory expectations.
The role emphasizes hands-on quality control, data analysis, CAPA collaboration with engineering and production, and ongoing exposure to SPC, MSA, and Kaizen
Salary: $23 - $27 per hour
Our client is a well-established leader in metal-forming and precision manufacturing, dedicated to serving customers’ evolving requirements with high integrity and technical excellence. With decades of experience delivering custom solutions, the organization has built a reputation for reliability, responsiveness, and quality.
They partner with clients across industries to design, fabricate, and deliver components/assemblies that meet tight tolerances, regulatory expectations, and performance demands. Their culture is built on continuous improvement, collaboration, and a commitment to the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
As a Quality Tech on this team, you’ll be immersed in an environment where craftsmanship, innovation, and accountability converge to produce products that customers trust.
You’ll play a hands-on role in assuring quality across the production process, influencing product performance, and helping prevent defects before they reach customers.
Because they operate in a technically challenging domain (metal forming, precision components, etc.), you will gain exposure to advanced measurement tools, quality systems, root-cause analysis, and industry best practices. Training, certifications, and continuing education are encouraged.
You will work alongside cross-functional teams — engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and leadership — in a culture that values open communication, feedback, and mutual respect.
The company has a long track record in the industry and serves clients who demand high reliability. That gives stability to its operations and provides opportunities for advancement as projects and customer demands evolve.
They believe in Kaizen-style improvement: identifying inefficiencies, reducing waste, improving processes, and tracking metrics. Your input in process improvements will be valued and can lead to real changes.
While specifics will depend on level, you can expect competitive pay, benefits (health, PTO, etc.), and performance-based incentives in line with industry norms for a quality role in manufacturing.
