Job description

Immediate Opening for a 1st Shift Quality Technician in the Dayton, OH area.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Inspect parts according to work instructions, to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Ensure no defective parts are shipped out to the customer.
  • Ensure only defective parts are rejected.
  • Ensure timely product availability.
  • Submit suggestions for improvements & efficiency on quality processes.
  • Follow safety protocol including wearing proper PPE.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of the product following work instructions as provided.
  • Enter inspection results in the applicable database.
  • Maintain cleanliness of area.
  • Notify the supervisor immediately of any possibility of customer requirements not being met.
  • Work with all departments to ensure the quality of products and shipping requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement projects as necessary.
  • Provide feedback to Operations on product quality in a timely manner to allow reaction as necessary on specific product quality concerns.

Previous mill work inspection experience could relate well to the processes of the client.

Requirements :
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior Quality Inspection Experience.
  • Experience with Gauges, Micrometers, Calipers.
  • Experience measuring parts, preferably wood materials.
