Position Summary :

As a Quality Technician, you will perform functions associated with quality control and quality assurance operations, including carrying out rework and quality assurance procedures related to production or operations. Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data to assist in assessing and documenting results of quality assurance and control processes. Determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures for quality assurance and control. Works with engineers in conducting experiments. Responsible for performing on-site calibration activities and managing a calibration program.

Essential Functions :

  • Analyzes and solves problems, prepares procedures, analyzes quality data, and applies fundamental statistical methods for process control
  • Performs calibrations utilizing advanced inspection equipment and generates all controlled documents required to maintain compliance
  • Develops, implements, improves and maintains Statistical Process Control (SPC) functions for production and quality systems
  • Coordinates statistical process control for the facility including escalation of abnormal events, and participates in all NCR processes and MRB processes
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications :

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word
  • Basic understanding of good documentation practices and record retention strategies, as well as an understanding of the requirements to work in a Cleanroom / Sterile packaging environment
  • Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485
  • Typically requires a minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • American Society for Quality Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) desirable
