Position Summary

This is a remote-based customer-facing position supporting and servicing our customers in the territory. Candidates must be based out of New York.

What You Will Do As A Repair Technician:

• Perform basic to intermediate repairs of surgical instruments, including ultrasonic function, metallurgy, buff and polish, bending, shaping, sharpening, hinge points, serrations, and brazing.
• Demonstrate quality performance in intermediate skilled work, including advanced Dremel operation, re-cup and re-jaw, laparoscopic inspection.
• Provide invoicing and documentation as needed.
• Work primarily inside a mobile repair truck with frequent hospital visits.
• Support various locations within the assigned territory based on service agreements and customer needs.
• Follow all safety, health policies, and procedures, including using PPE and completing safety observations.
• Adhere to protocols (DOT, company, and customer) for the safe operation of the mobile lab.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience or 2+ years of work experience, verifiable.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push instrument carts weighing 10-150 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including early/late hours, nights, weekends.
• Minimum 21 years old, able to meet FMCSA and driver’s license requirements.
• Pass DOT medical/physical exam and comply with DOT regulations.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; maintained required vaccines.
• Related certifications or military experience considered beneficial.

Relevant work experience includes hands-on repair, assembly, product testing, use of small tools, small engine repair, electronics repair, carpentry, circuit boards, sterile processing, industrial repair, automotive repair, etc.
