Job summary

Thule Group is seeking a Quality System Engineer to develop, lead, and maintain our quality management system at the Seymour, CT facility. This on-site role focuses on ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, while driving continuous improvement across the organization.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality management with 5–7 years of auditing experience and PPAP expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Quality Management required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the company’s quality management system in alignment with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Organize, manage and conduct internal audits; follow up on corrective actions.
• Host external audits (compliance, customer, registrar).
• Maintain manuals, procedures, and documents; ensure content accuracy.
• Collaborate with core functions to improve management systems and drive efficiency.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for customer complaints and nonconformances.
• Provide training and support on management systems and control processes.
• Conduct layered process audits and report results to leadership.
• Lead coordination of daily quality activities for OEM customers.
• Document and analyze returned OEM products for quality improvements.
• Prepare PPAP and IMDS documentation for OEM customers.
• Contribute to OEM project meetings and report quality concerns.
• Attend production meetings to discuss OEM quality issues.
• Facilitate FMEA, risk analysis and core quality tools.
• Support environmental requests and customer surveys.
• Train and assist Quality Associates in assigned functions.
