Job summary

Grace Management Group in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an experienced Quality Systems & GMP Manager to build and lead our cosmetic quality program as we expand manufacturing into cosmetics. This is a hands-on, quality leadership role requiring expertise in cosmetic GMP and system design from scratch.

The candidate will drive quality across product development and manufacturing, prepare for audits, and foster change-management on the floor with strong collaboration and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific discipline.
• Experience leading cosmetic GMP implementation and quality system development.
• Experience preparing facilities for audits.
• Experience in cosmetics, personal care, OTC, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve the cosmetic Quality Management System (QMS) per FDA cosmetic cGMP requirements.
• Develop and implement quality policies, SOPs, work instructions, specifications, batch records, document control, change control, deviation management, and CAPA systems.
• Integrate quality into all stages of product development and manufacturing.
• Support pilot batches, process validation, manufacturing scale-up, and technology transfer into production.
• Establish quality control testing programs for raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
• Develop microbiological testing strategies and environmental monitoring for cosmetics.
• Establish retain samples, stability testing, compatibility testing, and ongoing product monitoring programs.
• Partner with labs to ensure testing methods, documentation, and data integrity support quality.
• Build and maintain inspection-ready documentation and records.
• Lead internal audits, quality system assessments, and audits preparation.
• Develop GMP training programs and foster a culture of quality.

Summary

Grace Management Group is seeking an experienced Quality Systems & GMP Manager to establish and lead our cosmetic quality program as we expand our manufacturing capabilities into cosmetics. This is a very hands-on role for a quality leader who understands good cosmetic manufacturing practices and enjoys designing and implementing a system from scratch where none has existed before.The individual should be skilled at researching and solving technical challenges, highly collaborative, and an excellent interpersonal communicator who enjoys facilitating change-management initiatives on the manufacturing floor.A successful candidate will provide the expertise needed to establish a robust cosmetic Quality Management System from the ground up (not just manage an existing system / program), integrate quality into product development and manufacturing, and prepare the organization for audits.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience leading organizations through implementation of cosmetic GMP requirements and quality system development.
• Experience in preparing facilities for audits.
• Experience in cosmetics, personal care, OTC, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing.
