The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in cosmetic/personal care or nutritional product manufacturing, strong Excel skills, and experience with NSF, SQF, and Organic programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in scientific or engineering discipline; PCQI and HACCP preferred.
  • 7+ years hands-on experience in cosmetic/personal care/nutritional products manufacturing.
  • Strong Excel and PC-based software skills.
  • Experience with cGMP and CFR 21 part 11 procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Experience in leading NSF, SQF, and Organic programs/audits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and customer standards.
  • Oversee quality assurance and food safety programs for dietary supplements and cosmetic product lines.
  • Monitor, maintain, and revise SOPs and training programs.
  • Conduct and manage internal and external audits, including regulatory, third-party, and customer audits.
  • Review and approve quality-related documentation, including batch records, specifications, test protocols, validations, and change controls.
  • Lead CAPA and non-conformance resolution efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate equipment validations, cleaning validations, and calibration programs.
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints with timely, actionable resolutions.
  • Ensure cGMP and food safety training is provided regularly.
  • Support packaging operations with technical quality controls.
  • Develop and report KPIs related to product quality and compliance.
  • Participate in the Quality Steering Committee and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.

The Quality Manager plays a vital leadership role in ensuring the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of all products manufactured, with a specialized focus on liquid dietary supplements and cosmetic formulations. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Quality Assurance (QA) framework that ensures compliance with cGMP, FDA, and international standards, while also leading food safety initiatives in accordance with HACCP, PCQI, and other applicable requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong industry knowledge, leadership experience, and a continuous improvement mindset to oversee quality systems, manage audits, drive non-conformance resolution, and enhance overall operational excellence.

REPORTS TO:
  • Vice President of Quality
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and manage the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and customer standards.
  • Oversee quality assurance and food safety programs for dietary supplements and cosmetic product lines.
  • Monitor, maintain, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training programs.
  • Conduct and manage internal and external audits, including regulatory, third-party, and customer audits.
  • Review and approve quality-related documentation, including batch records, specifications, test protocols, validations, and change controls.
  • Lead efforts in non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, reduce variability, and enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate equipment validations, cleaning validations, and calibration programs.
  • Investigate and respond to customer complaints, providing timely feedback and actionable resolutions.
  • Ensure all personnel receive cGMP and food safety training on a regular basis.
  • Support packaging operations with technical expertise and ensure quality controls are in place.
  • Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product quality and compliance.
  • Participate in the Quality Steering Committee and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in scientific or engineering discipline. PCQI and HACCP certified preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 7+ years of hands on work experience in cosmetic/personal care/nutritional products manufacturing
  • Strong Excel and PC based software skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with internal customers and external clients
  • Experience with cGMP and CFR 21 part 11 procedures and knowledge of Safety, and OSHA regulations
  • Experience in leading NSF, SQF, and Organic programs/audits
  • Demonstrate safe behavior and support department/plant Safety goals in a continuous improvement process
