Job summary

Katalyst CRO in Ohio is seeking a Quality Engineer I to join our manufacturing quality team. This role focuses on driving effective quality systems, resolving customer issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards in metals/materials production.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, proficiency with ETQ, and a track record of collaborating across functions to improve yield and process performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field as a baseline.
• Metals/materials manufacturing experience required.
• Hands-on experience with ETQ quality management software.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.
• Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to identify and resolve quality-related issues
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, etc.
• Support and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Participate in internal and external audits, documentation, and calibration processes
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100D, ISO 17025
• Work cross-functionally to improve efficiency, yield, and process performance
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the site
