Job summary

MANN+HUMMEL is seeking an MMS Coordinator at the Gastonia Allen Plant to support the Management System and Quality Management System. You will assist with document control, process maps, forms, and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the organization.

The role involves coordinating audits, tracking corrective actions, and supporting training and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree or equivalent experience in quality, manufacturing, engineering technology, business or related field.
• 3 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, document control, or production functions in a relevant industry.
• Basic understanding of quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
• Strong organizational, time management, multitasking skills with follow-through and accountability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to engage with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and administration of the MMS and QMS.
• Assist with document control activities, including creation, revision tracking, approvals, distribution, and archiving.
• Create and maintain process maps, procedures, work instructions, forms, and records in the quality system.
• Ensure documents remain accurate, current, and compliant with requirements.
• Support internal, customer, corporate, and external certification audits.
• Assist with audit scheduling, preparation, documentation, and follow-up activities.
• Track audit findings and corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
• Maintain records related to certifications, audits, and quality system compliance.
• Provide administrative support for quality system training activities.
• Follow up with process owners regarding open actions and compliance.
• Gather information for management reviews and quality system reporting.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality projects.
• Escalate overdue actions to leadership when necessary.
